Sounds like the Aptera and Arcimoto story. Imaginary demand, and way too high cost for a car that means you also need a proper car too.

My favorite thing about Aptera is the solar panels they put on their cars are just decals, stickers 😂😂😂😂 so they were advertising range and what their prototype with solar could do without ever having a real world working car. Vaporware?? I guess you guys are used to it after kissing Elons butt for so many years. The build quality is absolutely atrocious too and realize it is titled as a motorcycle so it has no federal safety rating. Their first car was built in 2007 so any day now they will be everywhere - better invest all you money in it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

They are having major issues bringing the Aptera Tadpole to production. The "factory" is still just a warehouse. The car is extremely niche and will have very limited appeal. It is very likely that they will be bankrupt before the first vehicle is sold.

I own a lucid. I've had zero issues using Electrify America. Pull up, plug in, charge; it has never not recognized my car etc. The car will look for chargers that are available for use and I limited it to 350 watt charging. I'm wondering if people just look to say how great Tesla charging is. I'm also REALLY interested how great the Tesla chg experience will be when their network must accommodate the tens of thousands of new non tesla that will be filling their charge locations; especially after firing the employees in the charging division. Yes they rehired a few but there's going to ve thousands of non tesla which will lower the load on all the other chargers. Really enjoy your videos.

My 2024 Corolla SE Hybrid cost $28 OTD, one of the better new car buying options available. I would be amazed if someone would pay $18k for an obscure curbed EV, but it would be a decent value if repairable. In 20 years someone will still be driving my Corolla (4th gen Prius) and the Polestar will be ground into toxic refuse. Its a good looking Accord, Audi, Volvo, Mazda, kind of car.

I am actually not surprised, turning it off and on again fixed everything. Because even this car, it works with several computers in it. And any sort of computer, even simple low power ones, work by the same nature. They have some kind of RAM, like the computers we tend to use. Also phones are just computers with RAM. This RAM holds all the data the computer needs to access at any possible moment. If this RAM is never cleared, junk data piles up and can cause any possible kind of malfunctions. With gadgets you can manually cut from any power, this RAM gets cleared. Like if you turn off and disconnect your home computer. Once turning it on again, fresh data gets written into RAM, all is good. But with many modern devices, they never really shut off. Your phone doesn't, unless you manually reboot it, and many components of electric cars don't fully turn off as well, keep junk data in there all the time and causing the malfunctions this car had. Disconnecting the batteries fully cleared all RAM inside all the control units, new data was written upon startup and the malfunctions were gone. Moral of the story: Whenever an electronic device malfunctions, fully turning off and on again truely is the best first action you can do. But you need to be sure power is thoroughly cut off. I had my personal epiphany moment when fully realizing this: Back in the day I was an international commercial driver. Driving thousands of miles, relying on my TomTom navigation device. At some point, this device had problems booting, and once it finally did, it would take up to an hour until finally catching a GPS signal. It was simply not usable anymore at this point. I threw it into the closet and forgot about it, until a year later, rediscovering it. As I wanted to turn it on, it didn't. Battery probably dead. I charged it and surprise, all issues gone, it worked perfectly fine again. And this happened, because as the battery wen fully empty while it chilled in the closet, the RAM also went empty. The RAM of the device never emptied before, as many devices, this navigation device never truely turned off. Turning it off would always just put it into a sleep state, similar to what your phone does. So junk data gathered and caused those malfunctions. Had I known this exactly when the device malfunctioned, I could have cleared the issue right on the spot. Because most devices can be force reset, usually by holding the power button for a long time. This would normally clear the RAM too. So whenever some device malfunctions on you, try turning it fully off and on again, or try a force reset, holding the power button. Most devices can do that, and if yours can't, this is an indicator of a stupid device you should better not keep using.

I wish Ryobi made a riding gas zero turn mower that used an 18v battery to start it. Every 2 years i have to buy a new battery for my rider and i have no interest in buying 40v all electric mower. i also would like a self propelled gas push mower with a 18v ryobi electric start. and a gas chainsaw with an 18 volt electric start, for cutting 20 inch logs , not the dinky 18v tree trimmer saws.

my thought is why wait until a manufacturer gives you a battery option, LFP’s are super cheap and if you could DIY your own batteries in there, you could have a better performing machine on the cheap. It would run longer and charge faster.

Solar panels.....effectively useless? Your missing the bigger picture. Parked for several days, weeks, months at an airport for example....solar would negate the usual losses, would also help to keep battery/interior cooler or warmer with minimal power loss.

You should try to import a European Velosolex. It's basically the same, but it actually works. And the fun part is there is no gearing, chains or axle drive. The two-stroke directly sits on top of the front wheel and drives it directly
